Michael Gaughan is a Minneapolis based Visual Artist. Specializing in Watercolor Painting, but also working in Performance, Humor and Absurdity, Public Art, Sculpture, Mixed Media, and Commercial Illustration. MFA in Painting from the San Francisco Art Institute (2014) M.Ed in K-12 Art Education from the University of MN (2004) BFA Painting from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (2002). Currently an Adjunct professor at MCAD for the foundations dept, MFA dept, and Continuing Education dept. Also currently teaching at the Mia painting classes to senior citizens through their vitality arts program. Over 20 years teaching experience / Over 23 years experience as an exhibiting visual artist, performing artist, and professional artist.
