She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, and her Master of Fine Arts in Printmaking from Tyler School of Art, Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She has taught full-time both in Philadelphia and Minneapolis. Working primarily in site-specific installation and works on paper, her work has been showcased in alternative spaces and museums in the United States, Canada, Rome, and Scotland. She is the recipient of a number of awards including two McKnight Arts Fellowships, one in Printmaking, and one in the Visual Arts; an Institute for Creative Community Leadership Fellowship, several Minnesota State Arts Board grants and a Metropolitan Regional Arts Council grant.
