Image Faculty Title Adjunct Faculty Education MA, University of Minnesota Tom Westbrook is an artist, designer, teacher, writer, and craftsman. He maintains a studio, Utilitas Studios, on the river where he writes, draws, designs, and makes objects from the scale of boxes to furniture to houses with feet in both the modernist and historic camps. He collects and uses old tools and methods of work. He currently teaches visual geometry and perspective classes at Minneapolis College of Art and Design. He has also taught architecture and design at the University of Minnesota and at College of Visual Art, Augsburg College, Grand Marais Art Colony, and North House Folk School. In addition to his own design work, he has built furniture at Willie Willette Works and practiced architecture at silvercocoon design, Shelter Architecture and SALA Architects. Latest projects include The Aardvark in the Park for Visual Arts St. Paul and a series of light-based installations.
