Upon the Completion of MCAD’s First Comprehensive Capital Campaign, We Want to Say Thank You 

EVENT: You’re invited to an afternoon of celebration and creativity to help commemorate the completion of MCAD’s first-ever comprehensive capital campaign! 

WHEN: Saturday, September 16, 2017, 4:00–7:00 p.m. 

WHERE: MCAD South Parking Lot and Main Building, 2501 Stevens Ave, Minneapolis, MN 

ADMISSION: Free and open to the public. 

ACTIVITIES: To show thanks in true MCAD fashion, we’ll delight you with an array of unique art-inspired experiences: picture yourself in a photo booth, create an art book, discover surprises during a treasure hunt, get your groove on with a salsa dance lesson, and enjoy mini donuts and Izzy Pops. 

Plus, check out installations inside MCAD by Janie Arguedas ’17, Jonathan Rodriguez ’13, and Arlene Birt ’02 that celebrate this special moment in the college’s history. 

In addition, we’ll be showing off the college’s brand-new entrepreneurial studies wing, refreshed animation and drawing studios, media laboratory, and more that the capital campaign has made possible. 

View a limited-time, two-story, commemorative mural on the south side of MCAD’s main building by Patrick Miller ’02 and Patrick McNeil of FAILE. This is the first time this internationally recognized mural team has presented their work in Minnesota. 

MCAD: The Minneapolis College of Art and Design is recognized nationally and internationally for its innovative and interdisciplinary approaches to visual arts education, the Minneapolis College of Art and Design is home to 800 students and offers professional certificates, bachelor of fine arts and bachelor of science degrees, and graduate degrees.
