Alumni Films Win at MSP International Film Festival

Thirteen MCAD alumni were featured in this year's Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival, the largest film event in the Upper Midwest. Awards went to Mong Vang '07 for "Journey to the Fallen Skies" (Best Minnesota Made Feature) and Maria Juranic ‘05 (Special Jury Award for Emerging Talent in the Music Video Category). This is the second year in a row that MCAD filmmakers have won Best Minnesota Narrative Feature. The Minnesota Made section was programmed by MCAD Professor and Director of Graduate Program Tom DeBiaso.

The festival was a very competitive and culturally rich environment this year, showing 250 films from 61 countries over 23 days that drew 44,000 attendees.
