Christine Daves reviews Creating Career Success: Your Game Plan

Christine Daves completed a textbook review on Creating Career Success: Your Game Plan, by Francine Fabricant, Debra Stark, and Jennifer Miller, for Wadsworth I Cengage Learning. 

Daves has also been asked to teach a 1 credit Career and Internship Planning course for the College of Design at University of Minnesota in Spring 2012. The class will be comprised of architects, landscape architects, interior designers and fashion designers. 

Daves lectured at Augsburg College in the Fine Arts Capstone course in October. At the lecture Daves discussed creative career planning, personal marketing, resumes and cover letters as well as networking. Students were primarily from theater, music, and design departments. 

Daves is currently teaching BSc Senior Seminar and is happy to report that December BSc graduate Andrew Sherrard has accepted a full time position with Thomson Reuters; Nicoletta Neddermeyer is in a paid internship that has eluded to an offer of full time, but the actual offer has yet to be made. Daves is still working with the one remaining December grad.
