The students of David Schutten’s Copywriting and Broadcast course are going on a field trip to attend the 2012 Student Ad Summit where they will have the opportunity to show their work among some of the advertising community leaders.
Additionally, Schutten’s students will be writing a radio spot for the 2013 Student Ad Summit aimed at convincing students like themselves that attending the event is worth the $50 fee. At the end of the semester, the students will visit a world-class recording studio in downtown Minneapolis and record their work with some of the best talent in the Twin Cities.
In the past, Ad Fed MN has used MCAD student work to promote the Student Ad Summit on campus radio stations in Minnesota and Wisconsin in hopes that advertising majors will be inspired to attend. Last spring, MCAD student work was aired at both the University of St. Thomas and the University of Minnesota.
