Four alumni are among the three teams of Creative City Challenge finalists. Amanda Lovelee ’10, MFA, is part of the team Balancing Ground and Bill Ferenc ’08, Trygve Nordberg ’08, and Melissa Gagner ’07 are part of the team Spark. Former student Amara Antilla is a member of the jury.
This second annual design challenge is a competition for Minnesota residents to create and install a temporary public art piece at the Minneapolis Convention Center Plaza. The work is meant to encourage a sense of connectedness to the city as a whole and its rich cultural and natural offerings. The public will be given the opportunity to vote for their favorite proposal beginning February 3, 2014.
