Jacob Schroeder's Art Looks Good Enough to Eat

It seems that Jacob Schroeder ’14 is being recognized everywhere lately. Not only was he recently featured in Forget Good's summer issue, but he also sat down this month with local arts and culture blog MPLSTYLE to chat about his approach to artmaking.

Schroeder, who studied drawing and painting at MCAD, has a unique approach to his work: using a thick, rich acrylic medium, he creates works that look good enough to eat.

"I use gallons worth of an acrylic medium called light molding paste. It literally has the texture and consistency of buttercream frosting, it’s amazing! Unfortunately though, it doesn’t taste anything like it looks." -Schroeder to MPLSTYLE.
