James Holmberg ’92 will be sharing brand-new paintings as well as a site-specific installation at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts in his latest exhibition, Forever.
Forever explores the ways architecture holds fragments of memories and the ways transformation is tied to human condition.
"By building up then surgically peeling back the layers of his paintings and sculptures, Holmberg is glimpsing past experiences. Unfinished wood frames, sheets of plastic, and raw building materials, expertly and quickly composed, have a strong visual language; however, they also show his interest in the concepts of absence, transparency, and recovery."
