Natasha Pestich Creates Film for Metatranslation Exhibit [Video]
Faculty member Natasha Pestich has created a one-minute film in response to writer Ed Bok Lee's Metatranslations poetry.
During his residency at the American Swedish Institute, Bok Lee—knowing barely any Swedish—translated archived poems and diary entries in search of their spiritual substance.
Pestich is one of five local artists who created a film to be shown in conjunction with Bok Lee's exhibition. Participating visual artists and filmmakers also included Xavier Tavera, Mike Hoyt, Janaki Ranpura, and Allison Bolah.
