Sean Hvidston and Allison Bolah represent MCAD at the MIA

This year students Sean Hvidston and Allison Bolah will be representing MCAD at the MIA and ACTC Art History Symposium on April 13th.

Allison Bolah will be discussing the MIA's Portrait of Charlotte of France (1522) by Jean Clouet in her paper entitled The Portable Portrait: Physicality, Meaning, and Mediation.  Bolah is a first year graduate and candidate for a Master of Fine Art (2014).

Undergraduate student Sean Hvidston's paper Dream Castle in the Sky explores hidden themes in a painting by early 20th century American illustrator Maxfield Parrish.

The Associated Colleges of the Twin Cities (ACTC) and the Minneapolis Institute of Arts (MIA) Graduate and Undergraduate Student Art History Symposium is Saturday, April 13, 2013, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the MIA’s Friends Community Room.
