The Works of George Morrison Celebrated in Lecture

George Morrison

Join the National Museum of the American Indian in New York (NMAI) for a lecture on the first comprehensive retrospective of Ojibwe Modernist George Morrison ’43 (1919–2000). The lecture will be held in conjunction with NMAI's Modern Spirit: The Art of George Morrison exhibit.

Morrison’s body of work includes drawings, paintings, prints, and sculptures that combine abstraction, landscape, and a deep connection to his ancestral homeland in Minnesota.
