MA in Sustainable Design, 2013
Mirna Garza, originally from Puebla, Mexico, graduated with a bachelor's degree in industrial design from the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She currently resides in Iowa, where she works as a mechanical product designer for a medical device company.
Prior to moving to Iowa, Garza worked for nearly four years as an industrial designer at the Schneider Electric Design Center in Mexico, while also volunteering for almost five years at the nearby Museum of Contemporary Art.
Graduating from MCAD's MA program has given Garza the skills and tools to propose strong sustainable product solutions for design challenges that the medical device industry faces.
