MCAD’s sustainable design program was developed exclusively for busy working professionals and an online platform.
Our program engages a global community of students and faculty who work together to develop design strategy, collaboration, leadership, and problem-solving skills that are applied to solve humanity’s most pressing environmental and social sustainability challenges.
As students participate from all over the world, our classes are asynchronous—meaning they can be accessed any day, any time. There may be due dates throughout the week, but there are no specific meeting times for chatting. Topics, discussion, and questions about the week’s material are posted to a discussion board.
MCAD: A Leader in Online Learning
For twenty years MCAD has been leading online learning at art and design schools. In fact, our multidisciplinary MA is the first sustainability-focused education offered online by an art and design school in the world.
