Prominent artists and designers are proud to claim MCAD as their point of entry into the world of creativity and meaning. Our alumni are true entrepreneurs in their respective disciplines—leading projects and mentoring people in corporations, schools, nonprofits, design firms, and independent studios.

Aaron Spangler, ’93 Sculptor From large slabs of Minnesota basswood, Aaron Spangler methodically creates sculptures that go just beyond "folk art" into what he calls "the epic, the paranoid, and the absurd."	Kelly Nipper, ’93 At the points where dance, photography, diagramming, architecture, and event weather maps meet, Kelly Nipper created arresting experiences.
Corinne Wright, ’01 Corinne Wright, onetime photo/animation double major, now a corporate counsel for a food manufacturing company, recalls similar academic freedom.	David Bowden, ’80 "Covering the news," can also lead to making the news. Dave Bowden went straight from MCAD into work as a cameraman-editor.

Jake Yuzna ’05 Filmmaker Yuzna’s film Open received a jury award at the Berlin Film Festival.	Joe Dressel ’07 Animator and Filmmaker Dressel’s film Rough Tender won Best Feature at the Minneapolis International Film Festival.
Zach Keenan ’05 Graphic Designer Keenan is the manager of Creative Services at American Public Media.	Eric Rieger ’07 Street and Installation Artist Rieger’s Hot Tea project is a mix of street art, gallery work, and commissioned pieces.
