This class will focus on the mechanical operations of a Digital SLR (Single Lens Reflex) camera, and with those skills, learn how to best formulate projects and assignments for high school students. 

The photographic medium is seemingly redefined every year. Digital photography has become an inescapable reality in terms of artistic practice and personal documentation. Though the endless streams of technical jargon can be intimidating, the medium remains, at its core, the manipulation of light.

This week-long workshop for art educators will include demonstrations of intaglio, embossing, collagraph, and monotype printmaking techniques. Produce your own prints in MCAD's beautiful and expansive printmaking studio and spend a week of your own studio time on technical investigation and personal exploration.

This class will provide a hands-on experience with digital storytelling and video production that will include pre-production, interviewing techniques, voice-over narration, lighting, sound, and editing resulting in a personal short video story. 

Stories shape our culture and define who we are and motion pictures (film and video) are more prevalent today than ever before. Digital video can be an effective medium for collecting, delivering, and sharing stories.
