This class is geared towards students interested in learning what goes into making a “good” website, and how to create one’s own using a variety of online tools.
In this course, students will be introduced to designing for web and screen. This includes web-specific design fundamentals, best practices, and review of current web design trends.
In this course, students learn how to create visually appealing, well-organized web pages using HTML and CSS, the fundamental languages for creating content and style on the web.
The Web is the standard for the promotion of professionals, students, and artists alike. In this forum each participant will generate a web-based portfolio. Through personal research, online discussions, video lectures, and experimentation we will explore how internet-specific designs can accomplish our goals of promotion, communication, and art.
