Art Educator Workshop: Developing an Online Portfolio (Summer 2013)

All Art Educator Workshops

During this class, students will learn the basic principles of electronic portfolio (or e-portfolio) development for art education professionals.

Online portfolios can be very useful for art educators to document professional progress over time, develop and demonstrate skills in assessment and reflection, and to to provide evidence of teaching competencies for initial, professional, and master licensure.

Students will gain knowledge on a variety of topics, including an overview of open source e-portfolio sites and programs suitable for displaying and sharing work, a variety of e-portfolio organizing frameworks and principles, and e-portfolio written and visual components relevant to the art education professional. Students will leave the class with a completed e-portfolio and the knowledge and resources needed to update and assess their e-portfolios.
