Art Educator Workshop: Storytelling and Editing with Video (Summer 2013)

Stories shape our culture and define who we are and motion pictures (film and video) are more prevalent today than ever before. Digital video can be an effective medium for collecting, delivering, and sharing stories. This class will provide a hands-on experience of digital storytelling with video production that will include pre-production, interviewing techniques, voice-over narration, lighting, sound and editing resulting in a personal short video story.

No prior experience with video production is required but it is helpful to be familiar with Mac OS X. / Facilities fee of $40 in addition to tuition.

What to bring: Digital photos, graphics or video on a USB or fire wire portable hard drive. Digital video cameras and accessories will be available from MCAD for use during class.
