Introduction to the Adobe Creative Suite (Fall 2014)

This introductory class is designed to provide students with the foundational skills necessary to develop a confident understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite programs: Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
Students will gain an understanding of the differences between vector- and raster-based imagery, and file construction in the three programs. From a series of small projects designed to develop competence in each program, students will progress towards using more sophisticated tools and techniques to integrate the three programs to create professional-looking imagery, text, and page layouts suitable for print and web media. / Each student will have access throughout the class to a lab workstation equipped with the latest software. / Facilities fee of $40 in addition to class tuition. / Open to students ages 16 and above.
Prerequisite: Working knowledge of Mac OS X.
What to Bring: USB drive, blank CD, or cloud storage option for saving work.
