In this Design Thinking workshop, participants will explore this creative way of thinking through a hands-on approach. Design thinking is a form of creative and critical action. In order to find the best response to a problem designers go through a series of steps, questioning, brainstorming, researching, prototyping, and refining. This process is a little different than the typical problem-solving process because it is not linear and it encourages trial and error. The design thinking process promotes non-traditional solutions to a variety of challenges and is a great way to overcome thinking-block. Design thinking is a creative process that can be learned, practiced, and honed by anyone. / Materials fee of $15 in addition to class tuition. / Open to students ages 16 and above.
