Experiential Drawing (Fall 2014)

Fine Arts

This class will help students to explore and develop their personal drawing practices, informing and inspiring the creative process no matter their profession or experience. It is a means by which to immerse yourself in the creative process: To get out of the studio; view the city around you as a source of inspiration; pick up a sketchbook for the first time; or expand your vision. Students will be connected with their own hand and their ability to observe and simply draw.

As a way to reflect upon drawing in every day life, students will visit inspirational public places such as the Endless Bridge at the Guthrie Theater for a unique cityscape and riverview; Mill City Museum for the discovery of odd relics and raw architecture; alongside a ride on the Metro Transit Greenline to consider motion in drawing. Come outside, get inspired, and explore drawing in Minneapolis! / Previous drawing experience helpful, but not required. / Open to students ages 18 and above.

Please Register Before: September 8

If the minimum enrollment is not met by the deadline above, the class will be canceled on this date. Registration will remain open after this date if the minimum enrollment has been met. UPDATE: This class has been canceled due to low enrollment.
