Intermediate Painting (Spring 2014)
The goal of this class is to both reinforce the basic skills and concepts learned in Beginning Painting, as well as to inspire and direct the student in the further development of their painting practice.
Instructor-led demonstrations and discussions will be geared toward learning advanced color mixing techniques with an emphasis on composition as an important artistic tool, and will provide a variety of challenging subjects, including painting the human figure. Peer critiques will be directed toward valuable and clear articulation of what the student sees in his or her own work, as well as the work of others. For students who have mastered the fundamental skills of Beginning Painting, this class is the next step! Oil paints strongly recommended. / Open to students ages 18 and above.
