Open Edition: Printmaking Seminar (Spring 2014)
This class is designed for the intermediate to advanced printmaker interested in refining their creative and technical skills in a collaborative learning environment.
Students may work in any of the following processes: screenprinting, relief, intaglio, lithography, monotype, and/or digital printmaking. Unfortunately, the MCAD Printshop is not able to accommodate processes other than what is listed above. Sessions include technical demonstrations, tutorials with the instructor, informal dialogues, group critiques, and studio time. Networking and sharing of exhibition opportunities are strongly encouraged. / Facilities fee of $88 and materials fee of $5 in addition to tuition. / Open to students ages 18 and above.
Prerequisites: Introduction to Printmaking or equivalent experience in at least one printmaking area. As this is not an introductory class, students must be at an intermediate level or above, be able to work independently in at least one printmaking area, and be accustomed to printshop etiquette.
What to Bring: Lock for locker; apron (optional). Students should anticipate additional costs for materials based on the scope of their individual projects.
What to Wear: Clothes appropriate for messy creativity; closed-toe shoes.
