Fine Arts

Decorate the great outdoors with sculpture, furniture, or kinetic work while learning the foundations of metalworking and welding! Art and furniture created for outdoor environments are built to withstand the open air and weather the elements. This class will focus on the basics of cold forming and welding, with open ended projects meant to incorporate additional artistic processes such as furniture design, sculpture, and kinetics purely for outdoor enjoyment. Students will have access to 3D Shop when other classes are not in session. / 3D Shop is open 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday / Materials fee of $10 and facilities fee of $50 in addition to class tuition. / Open to students ages 18 and above.

What to Bring: Pen or pencil; notebook or sketchbook; safety glasses, and leather welding gloves. A complete list of suggested materials will be discussed during the first class meeting.

What to Wear: Closed toe shoes and cotton jeans with no holes.

Register Before: June 1

If the minimum enrollment is not met by the deadline above, the class will be canceled on this date. Registration will remain open after this date if the minimum enrollment has been met.

Class Savings

  • Register on or before May 19 and save $25.
  • Register for more than one class at a time and receive $25 off each additional class (same-day registrations only).
