Ages 12-15: Introduction to Graphic Design for Young Teens (Fall 2014)

School Year Classes Ages 12-18

Students in this class will explore image-making, basic typography, and the integration of the two through a series of fun and fast-paced assignments and exercises. Projects will address form, composition, hierarchy, and creativity. Students will develop a design process and a more critical visual vocabulary through experimentation, exploration, and group critiques.

Teens enrolled in this class should expect to work in the MCAD computer labs and at home. / Basic familiarity with the Mac OS X. Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite is helpful, but not required. / Facilities fee of $25 in addition to class tuition. / Open to students ages 12-15.

What to Bring: Pen or pencil; notebook or sketchbook.

If the minimum enrollment is not met by the deadline above, the class will be canceled on this date. Registration will remain open after this date if the minimum enrollment has been met.
