ART ROCKS!: AM Section (Summer 2013)
Summer Studio Kids Ages 5-8
Jam, shred, get down, groove, and headbang your way through this face-melting art class.
Young rock artists will explore the rich overlap of music and art. Students will create a rock star identity or band name, develop a logo, and a look. They will explore posters and Pop Art at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. Students will create musical instruments, colorful costumes, and design posters and album covers! Focus will be placed on 2D design, fashion, repetition, color, and 3-D construction skills. At the end of the week, families and other fans can get front row tickets to the art performance of the year! ENCORE!
Students in this program must be at least five years of age, and have attended kindergarten, prior to the first day of their session.
