Sculptural Forest AM

Summer Studio Kids Camps Ages 5-8

Create mysterious and magical suspended and standing forms inspired by animals and plants of the natural world. Students will sculpt and build with branches, twigs, leather, and found objects.

We’ll look at the artwork of Andy Goldsworthy and other environmental artists. Start collecting branches, twigs, and driftwood to bring to class on the first day.

Students will focus on balance, texture, imagination, color, and exaggeration. On Friday, friends and family members will be invited to share their thoughts on all of the amazing works created.

Students must be at least five years of age, and have attended kindergarten, prior to the first day of their class. View complete policies here.

Morning before-care (8:00-9:00 a.m.) and afternoon after-care (3:00-5:30 p.m.) arranged through the Children’s Theatre Company (CTC) are available to students enrolled in an MCAD class. Spend the entire day on our shared campus and register your child for a theater class at the CTC and a visual arts class at MCAD! Note: An MCAD Teaching Assistant will escort your child to and from the CTC in between classes. Questions about payment, registration, and cancellation can be directed to the CTC.
