Create Your Own Enchanted Miniature World

Summer Studio Kids Camps Ages 8-11

Throughout time, people have been fascinated by miniatures: Teeny houses; tiny furniture, dishes, and plates; minuscule people and animals. This week, we’ll learn about artists who create amazing miniature environments. Then, we’ll design and create our own imaginative (toy-sized) worlds using a rich variety of materials including recycled wood scraps, cardboard, and clay.

What will you dream up?

Perhaps you’ll design the ruins of a medieval castle, a faerie kingdom, or a mysterious floating island. The sky’s the limit!

Along with creating a structure, we’ll create tiny people and creatures to inhabit our worlds, micro furnishings, tiny modes of transport, teeny artwork and cookware, and maybe even a fancy fountain or two.

Friday afternoon, we’ll celebrate our week together with an exhibition and a chance to share these compelling wee worlds.

Students must be eight years, and not older than eleven years of age, on the first day of class. View complete policies here.
