Mold-Making: Dream Themes

Summer Young Teens Classes Ages 11-14

Dream and discover in three dimensions with us! In this class, students will make small-scale sculptures out of cast objects from their memories and dreams, drawing attention to, and inspiration from, the subconscious.

Working with alginate and plaster, students will cast objects brought from home that are intriguing, meaningful, or just quirky; investigate positive and negative space in sculpture; and work together to make adventurous new artworks inspired by their innermost thoughts.

Throughout the week, each student will also keep a notebook that will be both their sketchbook and dream journal to fill with ideas, visions, observations, and more! / Materials fee of $40 in addition to class tuition.

What to Bring: Pen or pencil; notebook or sketchbook.

What to Wear: Clothes and shoes appropriate for messy creativity.
