This event will feature a screening of short video and animation projects by local artists based on the theme “The Final Frontier” and a stop motion animation workshop. Monthly screenings are free of charge and are open for anyone to attend or submit.

MNKINO is one of a handful of U.S. cells of the international experimental video group KINO. Since its founding in July 2009, MNKINO participants have created over 200 original short films.

MNKINO is a bi-monthly excuse for anyone to make a film and meet others who like doing the same. It’s not just for film school graduates, artists, or videographers; it's an opportunity for individuals to experiment with video, regardless of experience, and showcase their projects in a supportive, non-judgmental setting.

To participate, simply create a video that is under five minutes in length and based on the screening's theme: “mystery meat.”  Participants may bring videos they wish to screen as MP4 or MOV files.
