Representing Abstraction

REPRESENTING ABSTRACTION

January 25
Gallery 148

Artists have a longstanding tradition of working closely in community, thereby influencing each other’s process and changing each other’s work. The four artists featured in this Gallery 148 show are no different.

Colleen Murphy, Emily Clingan, Kayleigh Fichten, and Dakota Hoska have collaborated in close proximity with each other during their time at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and this show celebrates that collaboration by highlighting how the work of each of these artists has evolved and changed because of their close working relationship.

By sharing ideas, techniques, materials, and information these artists have created works that intersect in some way while still representing the each artist’s individuality.
