As a sculptor, designer, and filmmaker, Anders Nienstaedt enjoys three-dimensional exploration across a range of scales and media. In addition to helping run the MCAD 3D shop as a technician, Nienstaedt devotes his time to projects like building NASA-inspired furniture, prototyping typewriter-powered vehicles, and creating a working submersible for an underwater movie. One of his wood sculptures is currently exhibited at Franconia Sculpture Park in Shafer, Minnesota, and his adaptation of Samuel Beckett’s "Waiting for Godot" appeared at an experimental comics exhibition in Nancray, France. 

Nienstaedt earned his BA from St. Olaf College in Studio Art and English. He lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
