David Goldes’s work in photography addresses historical advances in scientific research in relationship to experiences of wonder. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is included in the collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Art Institute of Chicago. Yossi Milo Gallery in NY represents his work. Water Being Water, a monograph of his work, was published in 2005 by Wright State University. He was the subject of a MN Original PBS profile in 2010, and he is the recipient of a Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship, a National Endowment for the Arts, two Bush Foundation fellowships, and six McKnight Foundation fellowships. Goldes has been a faculty member at MCAD since 1986.
