As a kid, Dean Wilson enjoyed making things and taking them apart, building his first gas-powered go-kart in fourth grade and a sailboat in seventh grade, with numerous tree houses in between. His adult life passions haven't changed much. From toy design to building children's museums, or restoring historical medical devices and making fiberglass trimarans, Wilson's love for exploration and experimentation has influenced his furniture design and his teaching, as he encourages students to get excited about anything and everything.
