Kimberly Benson currently works in a studio in Minneapolis and as an adjunct professor at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

Her paintings have been exhibited widely in both solo and group shows across the Midwest, including at MANA Contemporary in Chicago, Illinois; Museum of Wisconsin Art in West Bend, Wisconsin; Plains Art Museum in Fargo, North Dakota; and Bockley Gallery and HAIR+NAILS in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She has participated in residencies at Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado; McCanna House through the North Dakota Museum of Art in Grand Forks; Jentel Foundation in Banner, WYyoming; and Soap Factory Emerging Artist Program in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Benson has an upcoming residency at La Macina di San Cresci in Tuscany, Italy.
