Kirk Horsted is a founder and principal of 2 Heads Communications, a Twin Cities boutique communications company. He also has held an executive position with Minnesota Monthly magazine and worked in advertising and public radio.

Horsted taught at the College of Visual Arts in St. Paul until it closed in 2013. He is a nationally connected thought leader on topics including career breaks and long-term travel who has taken five sabbaticals, blogs, and shares photos on his website MakeYourBreakAway, and he also speaks at events and seminars.

A faithful practitioner of unplugging, Horsted makes and takes time for his family, friends, gardens, kayaks, and guitars.
