Mike Heggernes is an artist at heart and has spent his entire career working as a creative problem solver, designer, art director, creative director, and marketing strategist in the advertising arena. He is known for his prolific brainstorming capacity and his ability to encourage and collaborate with clients and agency associates, taking risks on the marketing frontier. Some of his strengths include a contagious energy and enthusiasm for solving marketing and design challenges. His business philosophy is to listen, learn, and leverage creative solutions that meet objectives, are on strategy, and get the attention of the target audience within the time and budget allowed.
Heggernes’s career journey has taken him to snowy mountain peaks, oceans, deserts, and the concrete jungles of LA and New York City, working on many of the best brands and doing advertising campaigns in print, broadcast, and electronic mediums. A former student of MCAD, he is now sharing some of the wisdom, insights, and skills from his career journey as an adjunct professor. He believes his true calling in life is to advertise, market, and communicate for the ultimate Creative Director—our God—in new, refreshing, and innovative ways that are pleasing to Him.
