Patty Healy McMeans is an independent artist, curator, and writer living and working in Minneapolis. Her work has been shown regionally as well as in New York, Washington DC, Istanbul, and Shanghai.

In the past seven years, McMeans has been co-producing art exhibitions in Minneapolis, New York, and London with an emphasis on emergent artists and critical dialog. Her recent curatorial endeavors include: the Duets series at Quincy Street Projects; Pay Attention:GM08 at the Soap Factory; and Rumble on the Southside at Art of This Gallery.

McMeans has completed an eight-country tour of the Mediterranean coast with 750 co-eds on a 600-foot ship teaching studio arts for a Semester at Sea program, published the book This Is Not a Book, and recently wrapped up Minneapolis’s pilot urban residency program called 10 Chances, No Hustle.
