This summer, Mall of America visitors get to experience the biggest installation to date by Eric Rieger ’07 (known widely as HOTTEA).

Hot Lunch is a massive installation that consists of nearly 800 pounds of yarn. After several months of measuring and clipping sixty-foot-lengths of yarn, attaching them to large mesh squares, and carefully folding and securing them in plastic bags, Rieger and his assistant have spent the last week on a cherry picker assembling (and detangling) the strands.

Head to MOA's northern entrance atrium to admire the giant, colorful, beautiful yarn spectacle, made all the more arresting by being suspended under the enormous skylight.
