Current student Miles Phillips was recently interviewed by Sarah Kass ’11 at Altered Aesthetics.

Phillips speaks about his approach to photography and how each project has "some sort of blend between old and new technology." He scans film negatives and edits them digitally to achieve the aesthetic of traditional film photography while still taking advantage of the technology and convenience involved with digital photography. He also reflects on his recent trip to Nepal and the impact his MCAD education has had on him thus far.

"I think MCAD has really influenced me positively on the technical side of making work. I've gotten into this rhythm of practicing technical skills during the school year and putting them to the test when I travel on breaks." —Phillips

Philips's work is on display at Altered Aesthetics’ exhibition Earth Works
