As a result of being selected as a Jerome Emerging Artist Fellow, Christopher Selleck ’16, MFA, will be presenting a solo exhibition that opens this Thursday.
Selleck's artistic practice as a whole interrogates the stereotypes of masculinity and homosexuality in American culture through photography, sculpture, and installation. Power Play, his latest exhibition, is no exception. In it, Selleck focuses specifically on the sporting world with images ranging from intimate, seductive, perfectly lit portraits to pixelated snapshots appropriated from dated sports programming.
