The Drawing Project has been chosen as a finalist for the Knight Arts Challenge St. Paul for the second year in a row. The group is among only 62 (out of a total of 480 submissions) to make the list.

The Best of MN Cover by Jaime Anderson

Faculty member Jaime Anderson illustrated the 2015 "Best of MN" cover for the Star Tribune. The "Best of MN" captures all of the great things about our state: the lakes, music, food, craft beer, getaways, and more!

Anderson's work was also featured in the Minneapolis ARTCRANK exhibition. The show is still up at the Hamilton Ink Spot and screenprints are available for purchase through the end of August.

Work by Shannon Estlund

Faculty member Shannon Estlund is featured in the upcoming exhibition at Soo Visual Arts Center.

Terra Incognita features paintings by Estlund that explore the illusion of spatial depth through layers of paint that alternate between thick and thin application. Her paintings feature landscapes that may not necessarily represent the ideal, such as areas near dirt roads or old houses. These places are often hidden or difficult to access.

Comic Creator Meet-Up

Bob Algeo ’11, MFA, and current MFA students John Bivens and Alex Mitchell (among other MCADians) will be at the Comic Creator Morning Meet-Up in August.

The event takes place the day after Autoptic-MPLS. Bring what you’re working on to show off and enjoy some doughnuts, coffee, and conversation.

Raised on Ritalin is "a medicated memoir" that explores growing up with ADD/ADHD.

The conference takes place in Riverside, California on July 17.
