Circumstantial Evidence is something of a peek into the artist’s archives, featuring new books and boxes along with older works that have rarely been exhibited.

Medium Resolution

In the exhibition Medium Resolution, faculty member Jason Ramey combines his training as a furniture designer with new research into 3D printing techniques. The resulting architectural sculptures contain myriad domestic narratives and create psychologically charged spaces.

The artist will speak about his work tomorrow at Winona State University in the Science Laboratory Center, with a reception immediately following in the Watkins Gallery.

MCBA's 2015 Winter Book

In celebration of Minnesota Center for Book Arts' thirtieth anniversary, their annual Winter Book features the writings of their artist community, including faculty members Karen Wirth and Jody Williams.

In a collection of short essays and poems, the contributors reflect on what it means to work in a community and practice book arts processes such as binding, letterpress printing, and papermaking.

Work by Tom Schroeder

MCAD faculty member Tom Schroeder was recently interviewed by Chris Robinson, Animation writer for the Animation Pimpcast.

Robinson and Schroeder sat down in a Utrecht bar during the Holland Animation Film Festival in March 2015 and discussed animated documentaries, confessional art, discoveries of animation via Chris Sullivan, festival politics, and a string of personal losses.

The Plain Sense of Things is co-curated by Jared Stanley and Sarah Lillegard and will show at Sierra Nevada College.

Brandt will be speaking this Thursday as part of the Design Education Program. The focus of his lecture will be the workshop he led in Hongzhou, China as part of Jianping He's Design Summer 7. 

The AIGA conference brings together the design community to experience controversial speakers, local culture, exhibitions, professional development sessions and face-to-face roundtables.
