Faculty member Ed Charbonneau ’06, MFA and his studio mate, Jeremy Szopinski, created the Golden Spiral Mural, which was commissioned by Public Arts St. Paul to complement the field of sunflowers planted in the Pedro Park Urban Flower Field.

MCAD student interns Nikki Ivanovsky-Schow, Mirandy Lardinois, and Kathryn Warren assisted with some of the painting of the mural.

Faculty Member Michael Kareken's large painting, "Magnet", is part of a Minnesota Historical Society exhibition entitled Recent Acquisitions: Art Since 1945. The exhibition features nearly 40 works of art created by Minnesotans over the last 30 years.

Faculty member Murphy Pizza's book Paganistan: Contemporary Pagan Community in Minnesota's Twin Cities will be released by Ashgate Publishing on April 17, 2014.

Pizza's book is an ethnography and recent history of the Pagan, Wiccan, and occult community in Minneapolis and St. Paul, based on ten years of anthropological research.
