Faculty member Andy DuCett was asked by the Walker Art Center to take part in their "Old School Art School" program—a drawing studio that takes place alongside the Walker's exhibition Hopper Drawing: A Painter’s Process.
Cindy Gilbert, director of the Master of Arts in Sustainable Design program, has been invited to create an educational webinar on the topic of biomimicry and architecture called "EcoBalance and Biomimicry: Inspired by Nature."
Faculty member Erik Brandt's Ficciones Typografika project continues to gain coverage. The popular project is featured in the April 2014 edition of the Swiss publication IDPURE (No. 34) and the March 2014 issue of the highly respected French magazine étapes (No. 218).
Mark Mallman ’95 has been added to the lineup for this summer's Midwest Music Showcase at the Twins Stadium. Ten musical acts have been selected to play before and during a different game throughout the 2014 season.
Faculty member Michael Kareken will exhibit his work in an upcoming group show at the Bloomington Art Center. Fruitful and Multiplying addresses the issue of overpopulation and its effects. The exhibition is curated by artist John Schuerman and also includes Mayumi Amada and Jim Proctor.
