Robert Adanto’s The F Word explores radical “fourth-wave” feminist performance through interviews with a new generation of feminist artists who use their bodies as subject matter.

Because the female body continues to be politicized and policed, and because these artists delve into the fecund territory of female sexuality, self-objectification, and the female form as a site of resistance, many remain marginalized by the mainstream art world.

This event is organized as part of the Guerrilla Girls Twin Cities Takeover. From January to March 2016 the Takeover will include over thirty arts and cultural organizations in Minneapolis/St. Paul and surrounding cities. From small non-profit art centers to major cultural institutions in the region, these partners will be highlighting gender and race inequalities, taking on stereotypes and hypocrisies, and promoting artistic expression by the often overlooked and underrepresented.
