Bee Arts to Bring Awareness Through Creativity
Share:

Faculty member Diana Eicher is one of the many notable people who is involved with Bee Arts, a new model for how scientists, artists, institutions, and individuals can work together to solve problems and make art that engages community.

Bee Arts will enact a series of events and opportunities for artists and scientists interested in “cross-pollinating” knowledge and ideas about bees. The collaborative aims to foster new relationships between artists and scientists through workshops, talks, and exhibitions (including one at MCAD in spring 2016!).

In addition to Eicher, core collaborators/facilitators include University of Minnesota Bee Squad Coordinator Dr. Rebecca Masterman; Director of University of Minnesota Bee Lab Dr. Marla Spivak; and the Gymnasium at 206 artists Irve Dell, Robert Rosen, Kira Obolensky, and Shawn McConneloug.
