The Minneapolis Institute of Art has unveiled Beneath the Ground, a museum-wide exhibition by Monica Haller ’05, MFA.
In Beneath the Ground, Haller has installed a series of framed soil samples throughout the museum to better understand the pieces on display in the MIA galleries. Museum-goers will learn the global importance of soil through historical depictions of the landscape in MIA's collection.
Tours of the exhibition are free and will leave from the Information Desk in the MIA Lobby, across from the MIA Store.
Update 8/20: Haller's exhibition is featured on the Star Tribune.
